Our History

In the 1970s, Bud Parks worked in construction during Charlotte’s industry boom, during which time he developed a professional relationship with Mr. Tucker. Bud quickly recognized there was a shortage of dependable HVAC professionals in the area, and so, with Bud’s construction experience and Tucker’s HVAC expertise, they founded Parks Heating and Cooling. Over the years, the company expanded from just HVAC services to also providing plumbing and electrical services, thus becoming Parks Heating Cooling Plumbing & Electrical. When Bud retired, Tucker took on full ownership, and now his son, Wyatt, continues the Parks legacy.

Parks is proud to be a pillar in the community. We consider residents throughout all of Charlotte and the surrounding areas our neighbors. We have a close partnership with Turning Point, which serves survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and child abuse. They work to provide safe shelter to survivors as well as advocacy, prevention, and social change. At Parks, we have a goal of sustained profitable growth that will allow us to give $500k to homeless and orphaned children each year beginning in 2028.
